The MCSS~SRIS promote the conservation of the marine environment through  education, research and through the implementation of a number of programmes. Current projects include Whale Shark, Turtle and Coral Reef monitoring and an environmentally protective mooring programme.

All of these projects are supported by sponsorship or grant funding and volunteer effort. In particular we would like to thank the Seychelles Government, the World Bank Global Environmental Facility (GEF), the Dutch Trust Fund, the Save Our Seas Foundation, Mangroves For the Future, Banyan Tree Resort Seychelles, the Lemuria Resort Seychelles and the much needed support and sponsorship of local businesses, associations and individuals. Without your continued assistance our work would not be possible!
